**HELP !! Firefox keeps resetting my Connectiion Settings
Hi everyone,
I have just downloading Firefox and looking forward to dump IE. However, Firefox keeps resetting my Connection Settings to "Direct Connection to the Internet".
I am using my university's LAN to access internet. And eveytime I use firefox, I have to manually click the "Manual Proxy Configuration" and key in the address and port number. It's so troublesome!
How to do I solve this issue.

Does it also happen after you close and re-open Fx or only after a reboot?
Do you have any settings in 'No Proxy for'?
Tools → Options → General → Connection Settings... → Manual proxy configuration → No Proxy for"
Check for that you don't have overriding settings in user.js and that prefs.js is not readonly.
See: about:config
network.proxy.type -> 1 (manual proxy)
network.proxy.http -> address
network.proxy.http_port -> port
You can check prefs.js after closing Fx if the settings are saved.

sosothat:
Looks like a firewall problem.
See: Error_loading_websites#Firewalls (KB)
Check your firewall: you may need to remove all Firefox entries completely from the permission list and let the firewall redetect Firefox.
(Firewalls (KB))
If that doesn't help then start a new thread as Daifne suggested.

Actualy, I cancel my Real Player and MSN from my Run- Msconfig- Set up, before that everything is ok. Now I reset my fire wall, Firefox still doesn't work. I really don't want Real and MSN auto play. What do I need do now? Thank you. Where can I start a new topic?
