Google Calendar Provider

I've followed the instructions from http://wiki.mozilla.org/Calendar:Google_Provider
and set the calendar.google.enabled = true
but the new provider option under "Create new calendar/On network" didn't appear.

Are there any other settings (or different lightning version - I'm using 0.3.1) that have to be changed, to enable minimal support for google calendar sync?

Support for Google Calendar is still in development and is not yet part of 0.3.1 release or nightly builds.

So what is being described in that link http://wiki.mozilla.org/Calendar:Google_Provider ?

This page describes the in-development-version of the extension. (I'm not the author, I don't know if it is up to date.) If you want to patch your own Lightning build you will have follow the links from the bottom of that page.
