That's a long requested feature and should be easy to implement. Patches are welcome.

I've make a HTML template with tables, and added descriptions and install links.
And also a css file for it.
I think it's more clear than the listed form.

here's an example http://rexx26.googlepages.com/table.htm
and the files http://home.ee.ntu.edu.tw/~b94901004/InfoLister/
there are both listed and tabled templates.

(the original css is from here http://wormeyman.com/Firefox/ffinfo.html)

p.s. the file is encoded in UTF-8 and it's chinese.

*edit*
update:
- add extension and theme pics
- combine the css files for list and table into one file
- use fieldset

Thunderbird 2.0

Post by PhiLho »

Thunderbird 2.0 is here, and InfoLister is marked as non-compatible.
I had a previous version (0.9c or so) and the "Update Extension" seems not to work, so I downloaded 0.9f, but I got the same reject, with a strange message that IL should work with 1.5 to 2.0a1...
So I applied the good old trick of editing the install.rdf file in the XPI archive, replacing this 2.0a1 with 2.0.0.* as seen elsewhere in the file, and indeed IL was accepted after that.
I see a glitch in the option dialog, with no images in the tabs, but otherwise it seems to work fine.

rexx26: nice.

PhiLo: Good, I'll try to release a version with maxVersion=2 for TB then. There are no images in the Options dialog's panes because I didn't set them.

I'd love to get infolister working with my Thunderbird 2.0 ...
I tried the fix described below by PhiLho to no avail - but perhaps I'm doing it incorrectly.

I'd greatly appreciate detailed instructions on how to make this work .. or ...
is the updated version ready?

really love this add-on!

THANKS
MorphGuy

sorted extensions & theme

Post by cyraxeon »

I modified some xsl files and made it so that it separates the disabled extensions and places the selected theme first. you can download the zip of all the files <a href="http://shaunsational.com/about/Firefox/infolister.zip">here</a>.. there is a file called _README.txt which you should read as im using a PHP file that wont work off of a local folder.

I'm trying to make it upload the xml file to my website via the ftp option but I cant get it to work.. it always says connection refused. I know i need an active connection (PASV does not work for my server) and I can log in via an FTP client fine. Is there plans to make an option for PASV or Active?

also as xdeviantx requested, how hard would it be to generate the search plugins in the xml?
wheee...

I didn't reply here, but I think a few previous versions worked with TB 2.0.

I have a modified version that should work in Thunderbird 2.0 to 3.1:
http://xsidebar.mozdev.org/modifiedmisc.html#infolister
(Ignore the warnings on the webpage that say this version is for SeaMonkey 2.0a only)

brian: You should see a list of messages in the Sunbird forum. You can use the "New topic" button at the top left to create a new discussion thread about your problem.

Oh ok, sorry I'm slow sometimes... Regards.

Oh there have been some good developments. If You'd like to know just leave a message here and I will be notified.

It works now, I just can't get it to hide in my tray... Oh well!

Hi asquella

Is there a Version for the coming Firefox 4 planned, or maybe available?
Thank you for your hard work.
Cheers
