The messages pane is messed up

Post by aouton »

Take a look to this picture:

This happened when I installed TB2 a moment ago. The problem is in the blue rows in all the folders.

Any ideas about how to fix this?

Thanks in advance

Try switching to the default theme. There were a lot of changes in the themeing and many of the old ones are not compatible with it.

Hi. Thanks for the prompt response, but I am using the default theme. I have just this theme.

Following your idea I installed another theme (compatible with 2.0) and tested. The same issue. I went back to the default theme and still the issue.

I am having the same problem. It looks like, on some of the lines, more than one message summary is displayed, the result being that the line is unreadable. I am using a fairly old Dell Inspiron 8200 laptop, running Windows XP Professional, version 2002, service pack 2.

Sorry, it didn't look like the default that shows on my system, but I have Vista.

Hmmm. It almost looks like a font size issue on your system. But let me think about this some more. 2.0 is new for all of us and I know we'll be running into a few odd situations over the next few days. Yours is one of the first post release. ;-)

Well, I un-installed it, deleted all the extensions and made sure chroma folder was empty too.

Then I installed it again and the same issue.

Some time ago I found a theme that showed the same behavior but now is happening with the default theme..

I received a PM from another user having the same issue.

I also have this problem.... screenshot <a href="http://www.madapple.net/images/tb2.0.0.0-messagelist.jpg">here</a>.

I upgraded from 1.5.x to 2.0.0.0 this morning and have this issue. Dell Inspiron 8100, Windows 2kSP4, GeForce2Go, nVidia Video Driver 6.14.10.4482.

I occasionally get this in the tab area in Firefox 2 as well, when I mouseover the Toolbar Bookmarks, but it's more intermittent and goes away completely when I click on any tab.

Same problem here. Dell Inspiron 8000, Windows XP SP2, GeForce2Go, nvidia driver 4.4.8.2. Happens also with Firefox 2.0 in the Tab titles.

i had the same problem. However, I rebooted my computer after the upgrade and then that fixed it.

dunno if this will fix it for everyone else or not.

I checked, my video drivers are the newest available from nVidia... Rebooted just to be safe, problem still exists.

Picture from adgolds12 is exactly what I get in Firefox as well.

I'm noticing a distinct pattern, too. Anyone having this problem on something other than a Dell Inspiron ____?

I have the same problem as adgolds12 with both Firefox and Thunderbird. I have rebooted my machine and gone through the troubleshooting steps here http://kb.mozillazine.org/Standard_diag ... hunderbird

Nothing seems to help. A friend suggested it might be related to drivers, I am using the nvidia 45.23 driver for an old TNT2 card.
