Connection Resetting - Driving me nuts

I noticed this started happening about 2 months ago, but when i and surfing, my connection keeps resetting. It is becoming more and more frequently, almost every 3 times i access the net. I don't know all the ins and outs of firefox, so if someone can help me with simple instructions on where to find things to modify to stop the insanity. PLEASE HELP
