Can't save images 030110

Post by alekz »

Hi, does anyone have the same problem as me, I'm using the 030110 build and I can't save any images when I right-click Save Image As and choose where to save, after that the download dialog pops ups but nothing happens. I'm using WinXPSP1

I get the exact same problem using the 20030110 build for Linux. I will submit it to Bugzilla.

[EDIT]
Here it is: http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=188587.

Could someone please move this thread to Phoenix Bugs?

I just noticed it too, also with Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.3a) Gecko/20030110 Phoenix/0.5. Weird...

Hopefully like last month's bug cookie bug, they'll fix it shortly.

Too late... the latter was confirmed whilst the former is unconfirmed. Which means I have to dupe an older bug against a newer one, which is generally something we (or at least I) try to avoid...

So confirm the older one, then dupe the new one to it?

I found the source of this problem and attached <a href="http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/attachment.cgi?id=111274&action=view">the fix</a> in <a href="http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=188587#c5">bug 188587</a>.

It has been broken since the Jan 9th build...

Sorry, I wasn't able to find the older one so resorted to adding it as a new issue.

I have the same problem in 20030111 as well (W2K). I found a workaround. Go to Tools - Page Info - Media and click on the picture you want to save and click on Save As. For some reason that works fine for me. Hopefully for you too until they fix it.

... still the same in 20030112-Linux. Staying with 20021228 for a while.

I'm using the 20030108 build for Linux, which seems to be the last nightly that doesn't have this 'can't save image' issue. :)

Brian Ryner just checked in my patch to this bug, so it should be fixed in the next build.

Looks like the problem is still there with the 20030113 nightly. I'm crossing my fingers for the next one.
