RSS reader in Thunderbird Versie 2.0.0.6 (20070728) stopped

Since a few days the RSS reader won't load any new messages from any of my feeds.
I allready reinstalled Thunderbird over the old version and also removed all subscriptions and tried to subscribe again. At this point i can't even ad a new RSS feed because verification just won't succeed.

Does anyone have a clue what this can be ?

Mine stopped on 8/8. I can't figure it out.

mine also around that date, glad to hear i'm not the only one...but why did it stop. I also tried it with my firewall switched off no difference either. I am now use Google reader but i really like the one in Thunderbird so i hope there is a solution.

My RSS Feeds have stopped in ThunderBird as well. A solution would be very nice.

I found an extension, ForumZilla. It's an RSS reader for TB, and I'm using it now, since TB's built-in RSS reader seems to have busted on me.

I have the same problem. This stinks. I can't even export my old feeds, and I had hundreds of them.

I'm having the same problem... I even can't subscribe to new RSS posts. It pauses at the verifying stage and waits forever.
