I am not a really Firefox user but this problem buged me because many people using Mozilla and my Webpage showed Java applet on all other browsers except Firefox! But now it works for me!

Not sure if this is a known problem but works for me so far! All my browsers processing applet code now without error msg![b]

[b]Mozilla Firefox error Java JRE applet code

Finally after two days I got ( Java applet ) working; really crazy one!

Two days of frustration In the end a really easy Fix but no-one can tell you what is wrong!!
I will place this Helping note in this forum sure this will help someone!!

Search all over Googles to get it fixed no luck! Why not one forum gives this resold too fix this problem??

Tried everything reinstalled JRE 1.4.2 then JRE 1.5. then JRE1.6.1 nothing worked!
Then I started playing in the Firefox plugin directory removed all plugin's and copied them back one by one thats how I found the bad file creating the whole problem!

All I ended up doing is I removed this file in the Firefox plugin Dir ( NPOJI610.dll ) and all work's FIN now!
(Don't know what this file is used for but no problem <applet> works and no crash and error anymore!!)

Java <applet> images working now on my Firefox! Also the Java test tool ( Test your JVM ) works!

====================================================================

My final conclusion

Here is the problem!
This are the file details (Java\jre1.6.0_02\bin\NPOJI610.dll)
126,976 bytes--Cre 6/09/2007, 1:50 AM--Mod 12/07/2007, 4:00 AM--Win32--Ver 6.0.20.6

This was the one stuck in my Firefox plugin Dir :(NPOJI610.dll)
61,557 bytes--Cre 14/03/2007, 7:42 PM--Mod 28/06/2003, 8:56 AM--Win32--Ver 1.4.1.40 This is the one I just removed!

Looks like when you run the JRE upgrade the file does not get replaced and! Resold= error: Java plug-in detected jre collision

I just removed it works fin; but maybe only needs to be replaced with the new version file located in the c:\......\Java\bin\

I will try and copy this two new ones ( NPOJI610.dll Ver.6.0.20.6 npjpi160_02.dll Ver.6.0.20.6 ) to the Firefox plugin Dir see what happens; but is not needed I think without it Firefox may search for the active version installed on your system. All other browsers seem to just pick the default version installed on your system!

My Host server back on line!
I just got it done two option are working I removed all the old version NPJava***.dll files! Firefox applet and Java Works!

Secondly I copy all the new version files from the \java\jre1.6.0_02\bin\ Dir to Firefox plugin Dir Works!

I removed the DLL's

Post by Lost User 294251 »

After my research, I tried to rename just NPOJI610.DLL. That didn't work and I started getting this collision response.
Firefox detects if JAVA is on your computer, but looks to the plugins directory first. I deleted every dll file in the plugins directory that was also in the java bin directory (C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_02\bin). Restarted the browser and it worked.

This is supposed to be a better solution for future upgrades of JAVA. Everything is working fine now.
