Hm, sad. I liked the idea of Domain Highlighting. I didn't like the idea of protocol hiding though. Hope the buggy part will be removed soon then.
Thank you. Have a nice day.

Disabled people complained that the grey fade was too light in certain circumstances. After that, the feature was removed to never be seen again. I doubt that it will return in the form of integration, an extension maybe but not integrated.
Latest: Firefox/3.6 - Thunderbird/3.0.1 - SeaMonkey/2.0.2 - Camino/2.0.1 - Songbird/1.4.3
Nightly: Lorentz/3.6.xpre - Thunderbird/3.1a1pre - SeaMonkey/2.1a1pre - Camino/2.1a1 - Songbird/1.6.0a1

The URL still flickers to grey when you take your mouse out of its range.

FWIW, I don't see any strangeness in the Location bar on Vista HP. In fact, I don't think I've seen any thing at all since the last time the TLD stuff was backed out due to performance issues.

Maybe its Mac/Linux only ? Might need a bug filed maybe.

I am using the following to highlight the domain in bold blue in the url bar:
Code: Select all
#urlbar .formatted-url-domain {
   color: blue !important;
   font-weight: bold !important;
}

#urlbar .formatted-url-contents {
   color: black !important;
}

I don't see any flicker with the url bar either.
