Arrows in form text fields

Post by reid »

For the last several weeks or so, I've noticed that when I press the down arrow key when focus is on a text field (one or multiline), focus moves to the next text field when the caret is at the end of the text. I could have sworn that the behavior has always been to do nothing in that case. The up arrow key is similar but in reverse. Is it just me or some extension I installed? I guess it could be a good thing once I get used to it, but I'm curious. TIA.

Someone knows if there is already an anti-Larry extension, that makes it revert to the previous behaviour?

#400935 is a terribly bad idea, on mac 3 clicks on the adress are needed to select it, using the favicon was much easier.
I have strictly no use of Larry's pure bloat, there are no case of it giving any useful information for a not encrypted site, on encrypted site it's redundant with the yellow adress and the padlock which would be a more logical access to security informations.

It is known that this isn't ideal. Regardless of what the final solution will be, you can change the behaviour on mac by changing browser.urlbar.clickSelectsAll or browser.urlbar.doubleClickSelectsAll.

I see the Places menu/dialog box--the one that comes up when you double-click on the Star--still has the Delete button to the left of the Done button. Is that supposed to be kept that way? For Windoze versions at least, that positioning goes against convention with OK and Done buttons to the left of Cancel and Delete buttons. I'll file a bug if that is needed.
