All Extension Developers: Need icons/graphics?

Post by savaden »

With the many extensions that are out there, I've noticed that there are many extensions with no logo/icon. Not that this is necessary in all cases, but I figured I'd offer to help any developers out there that are looking for such graphics. I use Adobe products and digital design is a passion/side job of mine. I'd like to "give back" in a sense, to the extension community.

If you're interested, please reply.

While I don't need any graphics for my extension (atm) I'm sure others will find your offer very generous. Thanks for 'giving back' :)

You're welcome, mark84.

It's been nearly a month now. I have to admit I'm a little surprised there wasn't really a response, but, I'll still be around if needed.

I think part of your problem is that you didn't mention what licences your graphics are released under, e.g. Creative Commons? GPL? MPL? MIT? Also it helps if you have a portfolio we can look at :)

I understand, Phil.

I do have a forum that I created about a month ago, where I'm still compiling alot of graphics I've created. If anyone would like to stop by for a look at various things, feel free.

savaden: Under those conditions, I'd be quite interested in getting an icon for my Fission extension. Unfortunately I don't have any clue at all as to how to best represent that extension in iconic form. But maybe you like the challenge... :)

You have some nice stuff.

Don't know if you use Thunderbird at all, but I might persuade you to make a new logo for ThunderBrowse as I haven't done graphic design in a long time, and I never thought I was that good.

I don't know if I apply because I already have a logo (which I am starting to get tired of and the one I made might not go so great when I add it for the rocket ship release)

Have a look anyways:

Let me know what you think and if you want to take a shot at it. Conveying "Browser" and "Simplicity" is a pretty hard thing to do.

I will need several different sizes since the logo will be used in many places: 32x32, 16x16, 48x48
Thanks!
