No Flash, AFAIK.

Use the default theme as a template.

Is there a way to test your theme without using a workbench?

You can test it by making it installable and installing it.

You can also make a test directory - what I am calling a workbench. I used to do that. A workshop makes my thirty workbenches more accessible.

I've been following this tutorial:
http://www.twistermc.com/blog/2006/09/2 ... ent-215832
And in order to test it, you simply drag the .jar file to your add-ons screen and it will install it. So I did this, but it came up as an extension. I know this isn't the way you've done it, but could you possibly have aby Idea why it came up as an extension rather than a theme? Thanks!

You need to have your Add-ons window set to the Themes tab.

I have... thanks for the recommendation, though: when I download it, it shows up as an extension icon to begin with, so I think when mozilla reads it it thinks it's an extension rather than a theme...

Why do you say it "came up as an extension"? Is it because the Software Installation window shows the puzzle-piece icon, or because after it installs, it shows in the list of extensions?

No, it doesn't, it knows it's a .jar theme ...it says so on the shot. It is showing a generic extension icon there, because, I reckon, you haven't put an icon.png in the outer jar layer.

Sorry to correct Ed, but jars can be dragged into the Extension side of the Addons Manager or vice versa, .xpis into the Themes side.

Does the theme actually install?
