Remove "RealPlayer Browser Record Plugin" - How?

Post by Kevin Ar18 »

How can I remove the "RealPlayer Browser Record Plugin 1.0" (exact name)?

* It is currently listed in the "Add-ons" window.
* It is currently disabled and says: "Not compatable with Minefield 3.0b5pre".
* The uninstall button is, of course, disabled.
* Another plugin "Flashblock 1.5.5" is also disabled for the same reason, but the uninstall button is present.
* There is no realplayer entry in the plugins section of about:config (from the quick check that I did.
* There is no realplayer entry/plugin in the plugins folder of the main Minefield/Firefox install. It is a fresh zip build anyways.
* There is no realplayer entry/plugin/xpi in the extensions folder of my profile.

* Supposedly, there are some ties to the registry for this, but I don't know where in the registry (there is, conveniently, no information on where and how to edit this info, although it it is mentioned).

Thanks... though I would like to add one other thing...
How can I prevent Firefox itself from adding in plugins like this (without my having to edit another application)? There must be some Firefox setting that I can change. Note: supposedly there is a registry entry that Firefox refers to, but I don't know where that registry entry is.

You have an older version of Real Player, simply upgraded to version 1.0.5
Then, enable it by going to Real Player Click on
Tools>Preferences>Download & Recording > Enable Web Downland & Recording for these installed browsers

It worked for me! ](*,)
