@gabrielemaldi:
Please enable logging and restart your browser, then send me the log.
Most likely FlashGet needs to be reinstalled.

@Giorgio Maone
Great ! Ver. 0.8.5 fixes that cookie issues. The expiry setting works as well.

@gabrielmaldi
I'm not having that kind of problem with the newest version of flashget (1.96) and firefox 2.0.0.12. Are you sure you downloaded the correct file ? I remember some times ago flashget's website links to an older version of flashget (1.90) although the headlines says it's the 1.96 version. But looks like they've fixed it now. I haven't tried the beta version of flashget though (ver 2.0).
Maybe you should reinstall flashgot too ?

You were right, i didn't actually have version 1.96 so i download it but the problem persists. I still get the 3 hyphens --- in the download dialog and if i select FlashGot anyway the file downloads with firefox built in manager. After that i get this error (my firefox is in spanish so the translation will not be with exact words as in the english version): "The file C:\... couln't be opened because the associated auxiliary does not exist. Modify the association in your preferences". Another thing is that FlashGot recognizes not only FlashGet but also WellGet. I don't know where did the last one came from since i never installed it.

@gabrielemaldi:
please PM me your full FlashGot Options|Advanced|Show Log output. Also, please check if you can see any FlashGot-related error in Tools|Error Console.
What does happen when you use FlashGot Link on link?

@antini:
anything, thanks. Since there are security-related native code changes which affect Vista only, I would like a double-check on stability before going public.

I searched everywhere but can't find any documentation of how to use flashgot's new feature to access depositfiles.com gold member direct download, can you tell me how to do that?

Thanks so much!

Are you still working on that emulated filter? It would be great to have for wget client.

Hi There ,
I am totally new with Flashgot & wx Download Fast , so if somone asked this before i am sorry ....

I use FlashGot 0.8.3 and wx Download Fast , when i choose link to download it asks me " you have download HTML file open this file in your browser " either way if i choose yes or no i see that the size of the download is only small such as 3KB instead of MB .

Any Idea what i am doing wrong ?

Much Respect

Mario

@zatlite:
Sorry for the outdated docs. That feature has been deferred, since native alternatives (such as wxDownload Fast, Retriever, d4x, SD2, iGetter) have been developed in the meanwhile.
It's still in my TODO list, but lower priority.

@Mario2006:
wxDownload Fast does not support cookies, hence the problem you're describing may happen on sites which use cookies as an authentication persistence mechanism.

I have a question, since for some reason Flashgot does not support the newest version of FlashGet, does anyone know the template that I can use to add it in??

If you just add [URL] it will just open Flashget

If you add: [URL] [Referer:REFERER] [Cookie:COOKIE] it will open flashget and autostart and fail a file, I looked at the file and what had happened is the SAVE TO location was set as the browser refferal

of course the file wouldnt download

Now is there some sort of template I can add in to make it work?? Or do I need to wait for flashgot to have support for flashget 2.0+ (it doesnt support 1.9 either :( )

Thank you :)

@cuzabis:
current FlashGet stable version is 1.9.6, and it's fully supported by FlashGot and tested (right on my machine).
As far as I can see, there's a 2.x beta but it's Chinese only, and until a stable English version certified free of spyware/malware is available, FlashGot is unlikely to support it.

Around when 0.6 came out, we set up a "To File" that opened the selected links in a text file.
I remember, (Options | General -> Add), Exe path: to a text editor, & the Command line arguments (were, was it ?) <code>[ULIST] something or something [ULIST]</code>?

Ah, it was [UFILE] not [ulist] that I needed.
PS: Is that on http://flashgot.net/features#customdm somewhere?

Mentioned in the changelog but not listed (explicitly) as a Placeholder in #customdm.

This version 2.0.2.1 is an official release downloaded from the english part of flashget.com

But yeah I had tried flashgot with 1.9.6 but I guess I tried it with an older version of flashgot (the one from Mozilla) so that is why it wouldnt work :(

thanks again

hi, i noticed that when i update flashgot to v0.8.8 yesterday (2008.3.13) to download with Thunder, the Thunder's download box has something wrong:
the Save Directory is filled with "AddRef"
the Save As Name is filled with "AddRef"
before yesterday, everything is right.
in IE, everything is right, too.
is that a bug?
thank you.
