How to hide folders from tree view?

Post by dan_au »

Hi there,

I am using Thunderbird with Kerio Mail server, roughly 10 accounts all using IMAP. There are a number of folders that I do not wish to see in the folder tree view (ie, "Deleted Items", "Sent Items", "Junk Email") as they are duplicates of Trash & Sent, and my junk goes straight to trash. With 10 email accounts, all of these superfluous folders take up a lot of screen space. I have tried:

- to delete them, but Kerio Mail Server won't let me (I assume they are required by Kerio)
- to unsubscribe from them in Thunderbird -> Manage Folder Subscriptions, but they pop back up every time I restart Thunderbird.
- to use Thunderbird "Favorite Folders", but this flattens the hierarchal folder structure and mashes all of my different accounts together- unworkable.

How do I get rid of them?! I don't care if they are not really 'gone', I just don't want to be able to see them in the folder view...

Cheers,

Daniel

I'd also like to know if this is possible, but I don't think it is...

I submitted this bug: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=470753
