Lightning inoperable

I'm unable to use lightning with my thunderbird profile since quite some time. I'm using thunderbird from fedora 8 (2.0.0.12 20080226 currently) and lightning 0.8 but the problem was the same with lightning 0.7.

Thunderbird gives me this screen:

I'm unable to create any calendars because the menu-entries are greyed out.

The error-console gives me:

I already tried reinstall lightning. I also deleted extensions.*, but it didn't helped.

Anything else i can do except creating a new profile?

Do you use the default theme? I think this might be the problem.

Also, did you install libstdc++5 or libstdc++.so.5 ? (package name compat-libstdc++ something). Install Lightning again afterwards

Yes, I'm using tb default theme.
Installing compat-libstdc++-33 doesn't change much....

I did now and it works. Problem solved.
