Possible iframe bug?

Post by Slater »

Point your browser to this page:

http://dev.cleanslate.ch/test/test.html

And click on the "foobar" link. In my Firebird (Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7a) Gecko/20040110 Firebird/0.8.0+ (scragz), Win2k), the width of the table shifts from the 250px that I set it to, to about 300px.

Anybody else seeing this? Seems to be FB-only (and a recent regression, December builds did NOT have this bug), I've tested it in IE6 and a friend tested it in Opera, and it all works as it should.

OK, updated my firebird to an official nightly build from mozilla.org (Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7a) Gecko/20040115 Firebird/0.8.0+).

And I still see the problem :(

Works for me, Firebird 20040114 (branch) on Win98.

Have you tested with a new profile, to make sure no extensions or userContent rules are affecting it?

OK I went back to a build from early December (Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.6b) Gecko/20031207 Firebird/0.7+), and it works as it should.

So somewhere between early December and now, there's an iFrame regression that only I seem to see :D

I guess it's time to file a bug in b.m.o., as it can't be a problem with the profile.

Confirmed on:

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7a) Gecko/20040115 Firebird/0.8.0+

Clicking the arrow switches the table from 250px to 323px wide, looks like it affects the trunk but not the branch.

Ah yes, I only ever download trunk nightlies, so it might only affect those builds.

I'm not really sure but wasn't there some check-in recently that fixed some iFrame stuff? With overflow:auto or something?

Don't forget to file a bug for this if you can't find one in bugzilla.
