installed to fresh profile as usual but noticed that my search plugins did not carry over. All that is left is the google plugin.

Thats because your search plugins are saved in the application directory... just copy your old searchplugins dir overtop of the new one to get them back.

I noticed that even though search engines are installed in my seach plugins folder they don't show up in the pull down search bar. Anybody else have this problem?

confirmed jacsac!

I always copy paste my old search engines over to a new installation. This time most of them did not show up in the browser window (though they were still present in the application directory. To get around this, open up each search plugin (they are probably in PNG format) and change them to GIF format. I used Irfanview for this but most image applications should have an option to save to GIF. Probably a good idea to do this on a copy of your search plugins first, but you already knew that.

All I did was right click on the file and change PNG to GIF and they all work.
