After the upgrade to FireFox 2.0.0.14 yesterday my middle-click and tab behavior has been strange.
Middle-clicking on a link no longer opens it in a new tab (nothing at all happens)
Same thing for ctrl+left-click (nothing)
I can right-click and choose "Open in New Tab" and that works fine
I can also middle-click on "Home" "Back" or on bookmarks in the Bookmarks Toobar and they open in a new tab
Middle-clicking in the middle of a page reacts just like it used to (Scroll arrow)
Middle-clicking on an open tab closes the tab (just like it used to)
I've searched about:config and researched anything that had "new" or "middle" in the name.
Anybody have any ideas? I've become dependent! =(

From mozdev bug 18988
According to the Add-ons page for the Menu Editor extension, version 1.2.5 was just released on April 18
Opened: 2008-04-17 22:35
with the update from 1.2.3.3 to 1.2.4 that just happened today my middle mouse
button no longer clicks/opens new links from webpages at all.. rolling back to
1.2.3.3 restores functionality and as a test i then manually updated to 1.2.4
and once again middle clicking on a link is broken..

I too encountered this problem. After doing some testing, I narrowed it down to
being incompatible with Gmail Manager extension. When both were enabled, middle
click would not work.

Have you updated to version 1.2.5 and does the problem still occur?Fixes middle click bug with Gmail notifier
