Basically, my bookmarks are showing up as I start typing in the address bar. It wasn't present in FF2 but it is in FF3. Is there a way to turn it off? Perhaps something in about:config?

If you don't get what I mean, here's a pic:

For f**k sake why are none of the image hosting websites working today.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

It's ok I've found the solution:

Go to about:config

Search: browser.urlbar.matchOnlyTyped

Set to true

Search: browser.urlbar.maxRichResults

Set to 0

Does anyone know how to get the little arrow back on the right end of that which you could click to load the displayed url instead of having to click the return or enter key of keyboard

Add me to the list of those who don't think the new bar is so awesome.

Actually, I don't understand the logic of bookmarks appearing. The whole idea behind bookmarking is so you can get to frequently-visited sites without having to type the url over and over. So it's safe to assume that if you're typing in the address bar, it's not a bookmarked site that you're after. So what benefit is it then to have your bookmarks in your face as you're typing an address in?

ya. there is no recent typed url for firefox 3, like previous version of firefox. even though that you're disabling the history at privacy tab, browser should display recent typed url while the browser still running. but in firefox 3, there is nothing like that! they shouldn't discontinued the firefox 2.* development!?!?!?!?
