I'm running Windows Vista at my workplace and I recently updated to Firefox 3. It works perfectly and it's fantastic and all, except for one thing. We do a lot of license and title work for the State of Illinois and whenever I try to access the site for issuing TRPs, this comes up:

Secure Connection Failed

An error occurred during a connection to sostrpwb1.ilsos.net.

Peer's Certificate has been revoked.

(Error code: sec_error_revoked_certificate)

The page you are trying to view can not be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.

* Please contact the web site owners to inform them of this problem.

Same here. https will give "Peer's Certificate has been revoked". With Internet Explorer 6 & 7 site works ok!

Have a read of this. It's a site problem and they should really fix it but until they do you can bypass the problem.

By default, Firefox do OSCP now. It check the issuer of the security certificate and ask him if the issued certificate has not been notified as compromized by the customer.

Unfortunately, this is the case. The certificate used by the site is no more guaranteed by the issuer. This is a very rare issue and quite problematic. Contact the site owner so that it can fix it.

I never saw this error before, but maybe you can add an exception temporarily (some cert errors allow it, some not). But I would be very cautious with such error.

Getting the same error, it started when I updated to FFIII but now it spread to Opera and IE, I have another computer where I haven't updated it and everything is working fine.

That is a clear indication the problem is not in any of the three.

In a pinch you can disable OCSP:
in a FF3 browser location bar type "about:config"
in the filter box, type "security"
double-click the entry "security.OCSP.enabled" and change the 1 to a 0

It's not the DOMAIN Cert that's the problem. It's the Intermediate cert. If you are using Verisign, check that you are using the very most recent IntermediateCert from their website. It makes a difference.

I have seen this where a certificate timed out and a new one was installed, but firefox still thought it was timed out no matter what you tried.
