Zip-File for Windows

Post by rapha »

Hi There,

I wanted to ask if somebody could put a .zip-file (that is, without the installer
for Win32 online? I can't (must not, *ahem*) install anything on this computer...

Best regards from Germany,

Check the build section - there are some unofficial builds there (zip).

There's a zip build of the official Firefox release over on MozillaNews.

Please note that the zip file will NOT create the registry entries needed for some plugins.

If you're not using Firefox, you're not surfing the web, you're suffering it.

But if you're installing onto a machine where you don't have access to the registry, that's not an issue as you won't be able to install plugins anyway!

Here's a potential solution, make a self-extracting (but still fully fledged) installer that compression apps can access and extract from.

I agree. I would love to roll this out to several desktop silently, but I don't think any command switches exist for the current installer. :-(

That would also be cool. Unattended installs... yum.
