Those of us in the know have been blaming you for a long time for a long list of things that we need someone to blame for. I, for one, have just added "transmogrification" to my list of things to blame you for....

I think i will have to talk to my lawyer first untill making any further comments.

hey, there's a firebug! :shock:

empty fire* windows show that legacy "Firefox" name!!!

I use this:

// At startup show: 0=blank page, 1=homepage, 2=current page
user_pref("browser.startup.page", 0);

ps: and why is the "Firebug" name not available by default? :-k

ps2: as you can imagine this is not a problem, but I thought I would post it :)

Thanks for the report, mai9. 1.0.1 is now available, with a fix for no startup page and Firebug as a default option (I agree that it's better than Firebat).

Enjoy :mrgreen:

I feel so . . . <del>deluded</del> diluted.

Thanks to everyone who had anything to do with this; momo, his parents, my agent, Dunderklumpen, the great people at Firebirdsql.org, mai9, and, omigosh, I could go on forever. This is just the <del>cat's</del> oyster's pajamas.

I recognize that this extension is only in jest. However, my many years in the fire service, including fifteen as a volunteer fire chief, compel me to point out that arson is an extremely serious crime, and that a "firebug" is an arsonist.

So, this particular `fire animal' is not a funny one to me.

Ooooh, now momo is in trouble. Mayor Giuliani is going to beat him up with a Fireax.

Maybe you need localizations to avoid anyone getting confused or upset?
Give the Aussies Fireyabbies and the Macedonians FireFYROMs and what not.

If /. knew about this you would do 100Gb in three days.

Spewey - Aww man, the trouble just never stops over here. A slashdotting would put me over the top. I'd have to change my name, leave the country, and live in a Shaolin monastery for a year.

John, sorry about the personal concern. The word "firebug" evokes in me a thought of only insects, even after your explanation (which I appreciate as another lesson for the day).

Jeff - I might expand on the extension to allow modification of other things, and not limit the titlebar replacement to just "Fire-" suffixes. But anything like that will probably have to wait until I have all my other [useful] extensions refreshed for 0.8. :)

I love this extension. This will be one of the little gems of Mozilla... along with the support request for the Coffee maker protocol... or whatever it is, in bugzilla.

All we need now is a UI and you have created a blockbuster. Do you think anyone will ever remember you for the others?
