Finally found an EASY way to uninstall extensions!

<a href="http://forum.mozillaitalia.org/profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=96">Adr3a</a> one of the members of our <a href="http://forum.mozillaitalia.org/"> Italian Support Forum about Mozilla.org Products</a> has found <a href="http://members.lycos.nl/mozillafirefox/"> here</a> an <a href="http://members.lycos.nl/mozillafirefox/extensions/Uninstaller%200.1.xpi">extension allowing to easily uninstall all kind of extensions</a> from Firefox (and Firebird).

We at www.mozillaitalia.org have tested it and it works perfectly

Maybe you already know about it but, just in case you don't, I think that it is a very useful tool and for this reason I'm posting here this message.

Waitaminute - what version of the Uninstaller extension and what version of JSLib are you using? Every time I use it on a trunk build it breaks my chrome horribly until I close and reload the browser.

Cool. I installed the extension, then used it to uninstall itself. It's in working order, I'd say.

Why is it working for so many people, but not me?

I'm using Uninstaller 0.1 with jslib 0.1.141...

This probably doesn't help TheOneKEA, but it works for me too. Using Firefox from the 12 of Feburary.

It doesn't work for me either. When I tried to use it, it just shut down Firefox and I had to restart it.

The extension was still there when I checked after restart.

It craps out on extensions that aren't written that well (with respect to keeping track of what they did to install). See this thread for more:

Because it's most likely a hack to uninstall files. Ben (or somebody else) wants the extension functionality changed altogether so this doesn't require a hack, I think.
