Firefox 3.0.1 Crashes Upon Launch

After I restore my system using a recovery media, Firefox 3.0.1 crashes upon launch. I'm running Windows XP SP3 and this only happens with a user account. It does not happen with an administrator account. The only way I found to solve this is to remove the user account profile and recreate it. I am trying to avoid doing this since multiple systems are involved.

The error I am getting is:

I have already tried deleting the {972ce4c6-7e08-4474-a285-3208198ce6fd} to no avail. I have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox 3.0.

Ok try starting in Firefox Safe mode

As it may be an extension.

You could try a new Firefox Profile for that account

If that works you can then transfer your settings from the old Firefox Profile

Yes. Did you try a new profile per malliz's instructions?

I have the same problem but Firefox doesn't start neither in Save-Mod

Hey Good News i have got the solution for it, i have also faced the same kind of problem i got really fed up with this
finally i realised the error its "add-ons:{972ce4c6-7e08-4474-a285-3208198ce6fd}:3.0.8" then i gone to C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\extensions there i found folder 972ce4c6-7e08-4474-a285-3208198ce6fd i have removed or deleted that folder than surprisingly Firefox is working fine for me.
Note : Before Deleting folder 972ce4c6-7e08-4474-a285-3208198ce6fd take a copy of it if any other problem occurs.
