Hi ozphactor, I finally figured out why the sidebar buttons were not working. I just needed to move the code to global.css...

The issue is fixed, however.

Thank you everyone for your comments!

springofdark! Glad to see that you took my advice and came here to post your theme. ;) See? I told you that you'd develop a following for it! Boy... always being right is tough work---but somebody's gotta do it. LOL! :roll:

It's looking GREAT my friend! When I get the chance I'll have to upgrade the version that I installed. :)

Keep up the fantabulous work!

À la prochaine,

springofdark, I quite like your take on the Breeze theme. Yours is my current theme. Thank you!

I wish that the toolbar could be made narrower as in the original Breeze theme.

Sorry to bother you yet again, springofdark, but will the activity indicator be updated before the final release?

The animation seems a bit choppy, and it doesn't really live up to the ultra-high standards set by the rest of this ultra-high quality theme. ;)

I added the following code to my userChrome to make things closer to Breeze

Code: Select all

#toolbar-menubar #urlbar,
#toolbar-menubar #search-bar {
  margin: 0px 0px !important;
}
menupopup > menu,
popup > menu,
menupopup > menuitem,
popup > menuitem {
  margin: 0px !important;
  padding: 1px !important;
}

popup[type="autocomplete"],
.autocomplete-history-popup {
  padding: 0px !important;

}

Thank you everyone for the encouragement!

<img src="http://www.alazanto.org/lebreeze/screenshot4.gif"/>

Updates:
Icon refinements (color for the bookmarks manager, proportions in the bookmark icon, mail icon shadow, etc.)
Tightened the padding for the toolbars and menubar (for you parsec, since I can see you like Breeze :)
Fixed a bug where the tab bar would change size when new tabs were created.
Trying a different appearance (still rough around the edges) for dialog tabs (what does everyone think?)

<a href="http://alazanto.org/lebreeze">Go to the download page</a>

These updates only cover the theme friendly version, hence the theme in my screenshot. :)

Ozphactor: No need to worry about bothering me. I actually enjoy getting the feedback about designs I create - it helps me to think through the challenges. I added a few frames to the throbber so it will now rotate about as smoothly as mozilla seems to allow (for a .gif). What did you have in mind for changes? I want to stick with something subtle and functional (not to mention that most browsers are going this direction for throbbers). I'm totally open for ideas on how to approach this.

Eyes, I should thank you again for pointing me towards this site! Now, I suppose all we need to do is get the theme on the texturizer page. So, I wonder, at what point does utter confusion mark one's path towards enlightment? ;)

Zeron, the 3DC theme is on the theme page, if you haven't found it already.

I like the new look. The old one was nice, though it looked odd with the outset tabs and inset contents. It's more consistent now, and it gives it a very unique look.

Heh, the only thing that comes to my mind is the Safari throbber with the spokes (which I quite like), but it's a bit overused and not really consistent with your theme. My only beef with the current one is that it just looks primitive (is that the right word)? I'm all for something subtle and functional, just not full of ideas at the moment.

By the way, could you detail the differences between the "standard" theme and the "theme-friendly" version? I get the impression that the theme-friendly version uses more native widgets, but I can't really see the difference on my machine. And can both versions of the theme be installed at the same time?

OOO! I got an idea! I just recently ordered a griffin powermate and you can program it to throb when your computer goes to sleep (if I could figure out how to get my motherboard to do such a thing). The throbbing is a light blue hue underneath a solid metal round object. Perhaps there is something in this... I'll play around in photoshop. Is it okay to require MNG support? (actually, I have no idea how to encode into MNG...perhaps the newest version of imageready does it...)

The standard version works well with windows classic (because there is no window border, I have the theme give you the impression that one exists) and the theme friendly version removes those borders for visual styles (like luna) that already have a window border. Umm... its like the difference (bar icons) between breeze and breeze2. The themes have different filenames, so they won't overwrite each other, but firebird recognizes them as the same theme. Should I change this?

Further updates (see above screenshot - refresh)

The new refinements are really good. Though I kind of preferred the older bookmark icons over the globe. Guess it just depends on whether you're going for more of a mac look.

Okay...this is going to be difficult...but...I need to halt production of this theme. I am going to move onto *other projects* that are very top secret...oh yes.

Laketrout, I will play around with different icons. I can agree that they don't fit really well...too bubbly or something. Hey, you're from Sudbury! I've always enjoyed my time passing through that country. I think I can reach the city in a day from where I am!

I don't know if this has been mentioned, but when using Toolbar Enhancements to place the new tab button on the tabbar, it fattens up the tabbar quite a bit, even in small. Is it possible to male a small button just for that extension or not?

Sounds cool.

That's fine, but I think you should still provide an antialiased, transparent GIF version, for those who refuse to download the MNG extension (warn them about the potentially ugly throbber, though ;)).

The standard version works well with windows classic (because there is no window border, I have the theme give you the impression that one exists) and the theme friendly version removes those borders for visual styles (like luna) that already have a window border.

Ahhhh, I see now. The difference was too subtle to catch my eye, I suppose.

The themes have different filenames, so they won't overwrite each other, but firebird recognizes them as the same theme. Should I change this?

Nah, I think that'll be fine. Most people wouldn't download both (I was just curious).
