Chromifox Basic & Chromifox Extreme
Chromifox 1.1 Basic & Chromifox Extreme versions
Falconer and I (Triton) have decided to somewhat join forces and offer Chromifox in two versions. Falconer will maintain his original work Chromifox and upgrade it's compatibility to now include FF 3.1. Chromifox 1.1 will only offer basic compatibility.
I (Triton) will offer Chromifox Extreme which will contain has much of the bells and whistles that I can stuff in it to make a complete Chrome Experience.
NOTE: Chromifox 2 as an add-on/theme will be discontinued to make room for Chromifox Extreme
Chromifox 1.1 Basic can be downloaded from:
AMO (Chromifox 1.1 Basic for Firefox 3.0-3.1)
Chromifox 2.1 Extreme can be downloaded from:
AMO (Chromifox Extreme Carbon for Firefox 3.1)
AMO (Chromifox Extreme for Firefox 3.1)

Chromifox has already been modified by someone else. IMO it is an improvement on the original Chromifox. Looks more like Google Chrome. I don't know if this author as given up on his version too but the work he has already done would be nice for your work. Here's the link:

Basically I am taking over falconer's original project of Chromifox 1.0.
I am putting the call out for specific color requests. Similar color requests will take preference.

Hi-
Please note that the 1Password icon is out of alignment in Chromifox's Toolbar. Please see:http://img401.imageshack.us/my.php?image=screenshot1ev1.png

Ciao Triton... and thanks for continuing developing chromifox. Using chromifox 2 2.0.1 release I have this issue: missing icon for open a new tab.

I'm currently in a rewrite of chromifox for FF3.1... If you don't mind you can just simply hide it all together.
Code: Select all
.tabs-newtab-button { display: none; }
I actually forgot to include it in Chromifox 2 2.0.1.

Re: Chromifox 2 and ChromiGlass
Little issue: if I go to addons windows and click on "goto web site" chromifox item on contextMenu I have an error: "missing argument: addon id".
Ciao.

Hi Triton,
I have a little problem using Chromifox/Chromifox 2 with an addon called FaviconizeTab. Although it generally looks fantastic, the first two tabs don't display properly:
Ciao.

Using chromifox 2 with fission 1.0.2, there is an extra gray area on the botton.

Will you be able to make it work with TabMixPlus multirow tabs?

Re: Chromifox 2 and ChromiGlass Development
The "Left end of tab bar" option in the "New Tab Button on Tab Right" add-on does not work when both ChromiGlass and Chromifox are enabled. However, it does work when only Chromifox is enabled.

Re: Chromifox 2 and ChromiGlass Development
What I've noticed so far (changes from original Chromifox):
1) the add-to-favorites star is changed - now have a blue border
2) the font on the tabs is gray, in Chromifox 1.0 it was black - is it what it should be like?
3) hope someday these 2 bugs in Chromifox2 when using TabMixPlus multirow function will be obsolete: not-so-nice left side of tabs and to fulfil the right clear area with tabs?
