i'd call it

Krungthepmahanakonbowornratanakosin-mahintarayudyayamahadiloponoparatanarajthaniburirom-
udomrajniwesmahasatarnamornpimarnavatarsatit-sakattiyavisanukamphrasit
(aka Bangkok)

or

Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwyllllantysiliogogogoch
(town in wales, no other name)

i have to admit i didn't read all the 121 pages of this thread, so maybe that has already been proposed.
i also concede that maybe the marketing would be a bit more difficult then.

What is Bratwurst ? sort of sausage ?

Now something totally different :

I hope that a new name will be find soon because it is needed for 0.6, they say.

I learned that firebird was a free Sgbd, so they would not take it , too bad ;)
That leads me to ask what is Hayzoos status among you ? Left ?
Rhesus ?

I read also
CAPRICORN that I like especially If it is L-E-O spelled ;)
CARAVAN had been suggested , and is not so bad
TBFKAP (The Browser Formely Known As Phoenix ) not so bad ;) but I know will find it too complex
http://www.mozillazine.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=6873

Find a cool name on the model ?

TAP Time After Phoenix TAPAS ? ho noooo
TOP
HOP Hail from Our Phoenix
ROP rebirth of phoenix
ROB of bird
RIP
BOP built on Phoenix
CAP come after phoenix
...
I focused on short name but
it intends to stimulate your...whatever you use to find names and reject my beautiful ideas ;)

another short name
VOL french noun for fly

it is 124 pages long now, and you should go there to find the answer

Well this said :
KRUNG or GOGOCH fits me but I am less picky than some of contributors :)

What do you think of
HayZOOS ?

I still like "Go" - since this thread refuses to die.

note that the official bangkok name starts with Krung-the-P, so Phoenix is IN THERE

and the other name suggested, GO, is on the other hand in
Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwyllllantysiliogogogoch
not less than 4 times.

i like GOGOCH, though Sili'o'Gogo has something, too.

and if it were to be HayZoos, we could use the splash screen mentioned in another thread.

aah, too much good choices.

That sounds like something only Redmond folk would do... And if they haven't, I can't blame 'em.

I suggest we call it spoon, so people can ask which browser you use, you can answer Spoon, they can say, no I said browser, a spoon is what you use to eat soup, and you can be like, yeah, I eat soup with _a_ spoon and browse the Web with Spoon, and then they can call you a moron. No? Well, I still like it. Not that's of any relevance whatsoever. But was this thread ever about Phoenix's new name? I reckon it stopped right after the first post.

Sorry, I was just too thrilled to see the thread was open again. :P

does anyone else find it kinda odd that chimera can just rename itself to camino overnight and phoenix has been talking about it for a few months now?
