I haven't posted for a while because I've been very busy with the 1.0 Branch, the 0.9 bug list, and other things. Here are some updates:
* The new Extension Manager is working quite well. I've fixed a few bugs but it seems there's nothing showstopping so far. Please continue to test this feature on the branch, and file bugs and nominate for .9 if you run into any problems.
* I've been charging through the 0.9 bug list and now it's down to 8 blocking0.9+ bugs. If you know of any serious bugs that you think should block this release, please nominate them!
* The updated products site and release notes are pretty much ready.

A request - please focus extension testing efforts on the branch builds, none of this is enabled on the trunk yet due to code review delays so by using the trunk you're wasting your time since that's not the code we're going to be shipping with 0.9 or 1.0

Nah, I'll wait for it to be submitted, probably will happen later today.

[EDIT] It probably won't happen , at least not before all the EM issues/bugs are solved [/EDIT]

Ooooo thanks lordmedikit. Wow 0.9 is just less than two weeks away!

"Fixed, branch only. Dependent on semi-single profile before can land on the branch."

I downloaded the latest BEAST Aviary and it created a new profile inside APPDATA\Mozilla\Firefox just fine. Did Ben mean trunk when he said branch, because it appears to already have landed.

the 20040603 AVIARY branch FF (zip version) crashed while starting with clean profile/clean directory.
Since talkback is enabled (why does it still say it's Netscape ?) I used that to send a report.
Is this filed as a bug, if so, how do I find it back ?
(The problem more or less as reported by zigzig yesterday)

    Back on Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040602 Firefox/0.8.0+ , that at least works ;-)

Just a random bit of info (Might have been mentioned before). You can turn talkback on just by running the talkback.exe. Not sure if they collect or do anything with the crash info though...
Please PM the mod team when you see a rule infraction

    http://wmlbrowser.mozdev.org/installati ... owser.html

can someone try and install this, as it has busted FF for me. It says it has been upgraded to pre0.9 compatibility. It goes into the EM, then crashes FF. Upon reload, it just had the name of the extension in the box, but you could do anything to it, so I selected uninstall. Restart FF again and now it just hangs on a "Firefox is finishing installing extensions. This could take a minute..." dialogue (5 miunutes and counting).

I can't copy & paste my user string but it is a Branch 3rd June build, installer, running on Windows 2000.

Quite a few extensions cause serious damage.
Adblock e.g totally disables Firefox at uninstall. The only solution is to install FF again.
