Something broken in 2002-11-18 build

Post by ehume »

I have the Win32 2002-11-18 build running after a delete-folder-clean-install. In trying to get themes and extensions, I get a blank browser window. This function worked on 2002-11-14.

I'm relatively new at this. Is this a regression? Should it be filed differently from a regular bug?

Is this happening for anyone else?

Not sure if this is a bug, but I know that on previous builds these links pointed to a mozdev site, however, this site http://texturizer.net/phoenix/index.html has way more to offer... maybe the link hasn't been updated in the inner workings of the browser.... I really have no idea but it seems reasonable....

Mouse gestures don't work

Mouse gestures don't work in build 2002-11-18 (I went to Phoenix Help to install the extension).

RadialContext not working

Post by Thomas Stache »

As I am used to the RadialContext extension to get my mouse gestures, I can say that this doesn't work as well with the mentioned nightly (Gecko/20021118 Phoenix/0.4).

Tabbrowser Extensions also didn't work until Piro went in and fixed it.

According to him, the problem was that Phoenix 1118 doesn't support the getBrowser() function that Mozilla and previous builds of Phoenix did support. I am guessing that these other extensions have the same problem. Piro was able to rewrite his stuff to not use the function so I imagine the other extensions can too - or the function can be put back by the Phoenix team.

I can confirm the radial context not working on 11-18 build... is there a source to check what extensions work on this recent build?

RadialContext doesn't like this build either. If it's indeed the getbrowser() problem indicated earlier in this thread, then I'd imagine other extensions are affected as well.

According to this diff, the getBrowser() function is back. The next round of builds should fix at least some of the current extension problems.
