When I start Firefox, these lines are in my Console:
Fehler: redeclaration of const nsIFilePicker
Quelldatei: chrome://forumadditive/content/fileManagement.js
Zeile: 33
----------
Fehler: fa_requestPrivilege is not defined
Quelldatei: chrome://forumadditive/content/forumAdditive.js
Zeile: 456

The other bug appears everry time I open the prefs window, yes.

Ok, can you try in a new firefox profile?
So we can test if there is an extension in conflict with FA.

Obviously sth went wrong...
It works now (with my "old" profile). The dialog is displayed correctly.

But now "Test notifications" doesn't work:
Fehler: fa_popupList is null
Quelldatei: chrome://forumadditive/content/forumAdditive.js
Zeile: 1707

On startup I still have the old messages:
Fehler: redeclaration of const nsIFilePicker
Quelldatei: chrome://forumadditive/content/fileManagement.js
Zeile: 34
----------
Fehler: fa_requestPrivilege is not defined
Quelldatei: chrome://forumadditive/content/forumAdditive.js
Zeile: 564

Dunno if this has any influences...

Code: Select all

Fehler: fa_requestPrivilege is not defined
Quelldatei: chrome://forumadditive/content/forumAdditive.js
Zeile: 564

I think this error depend by an extension you have in your profiles.
This function is called at firefox startup, but if an error occurs in this "branch" all following code be break!

Please, can you try with new and clear profile?
Start firefox with -P argument to create a new profile.
Im quite sure that you have an extension conflict.

And im quite sure that another extension use nsIFilePicker to naming a global variable.
So, now im change to try if this is the error.

Everytime I start Fx with this extension enabled, it annoys me with several "Application not defined" popups...?

Thanks. Could you add a option for custom sound please? If not no big deal works great as is in Firefox 6.

Edit: Reporting that it works great in Firefox 7 as well! Thanks.
