ExtenZilla - Extension Packaging Software

Post by Ausnadian »

ExtenZilla is now xpiZilla to avoid confusion with http://www.extenzilla.it.

See http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=152394

I might use it, but then again, I have a template which I copy and paste. I'll be sure to check it out (and/or read your code) :P

When you read the code, remember, I haven't used Delphi in 4 years, lol. The coding could be, and will get a lot better. And btw, since I apparently completely neglected to specify, it's written in Delphi 7.0.

You can also see (slightly out-dated) screenshots on the main page of my site here http://willbert.unserious.com/?go=home

You can always rely on Cusser to care! :D

neat idea. i was thinking about doing something like this, but my coding skills leave something to be desired, so i'll root for you.

right now i have a dos batch script that works, which makes me happy. that's about as complex as i get.

Thanks roachfiend, my coding probably isn't the greatest either, but I thought someone should make something like this, and I didn't see anyone else doing it. If you have any suggestions for improvements or bugs or anything, feel free to email me!

Not sure whether I confused you, or you meant you're looking forward to v1.0, but you can download it from my site at http://willbert.unserious.com/?go=software now if you're interesting in trying it and looking for bugs etc.

Cheers,
Will

You can also rely on Cusser to be awake very late writing dogshit code. Anyway, looks good so far. Not sure if you noticed, WiLLBERT, but the Find Statusbar extension will become irellevent as of 1.0 and recent nightlies. Grab today's Branch build and CTRL+F if you're interested.

I know what it's like to be up late. Ended up being up til 2AM last night fine-tuning my new website design.

I'll have to grab the new nightly and check it out! Is it your exact coding or did they make it themselves? Hopefully they used the coding of the great Cusser!

Replied now. That's very cool. It's great to have so many people with only good things to say about ExtenZilla! :)

Neither, CTRL+F was merged with <abbr title="Find As You Type">FAYT</abbr> in the form of a toolbar.

It looks good, although I'd like the option have have messages shown in the toolbar. For example, if you search for something that's not found, the toolbar says nothing. Shouldn't it say "[text] not found in document" or something?

There are bugs open... if they go unfixed I'll get on it myself... that was one of the three things I filed immediately.
