Statistics/graphs like this would be pretty cool in Peter(6)'s daily build threads.

a week is over and I thought I'll bump this thread up with the latest graph. (if you don't see a graph up to the 22nd of June refresh the page).

Though the number of fixed bugs has passed the 100, the number of blocking bugs has increased - sad but true. :(

I'm sure they'll remove a bunch of bugs from the blocker list - there are too many now for the time available, so some of them will have to be re-evaluated.

Then you're probably not seeing anything ;) I see a graph up to the 22nd of July

So, the dotted blue line should rise slowly as people find blockers;
the red line should drop steeply as the devs fix 'em;
and the green line should be rapidly getting closer to the dotted blue line. When they meet, "it's ready".

If I was a project manager on this, I'd be running around trying to find people to blame... :lol:

Actually, all the lines just jump at some point when the developers decide they want the line to jump. This means they are moving the blocking to the next version so they can get the current one out.

A graph like this will really show how this happens.

hmm.. well .... right... 22nd of July :D

the blue line marks all bugs blocking 1.0 + the nominated ones, so once the devs go through the nominations once again the red line will rise even more until it meets the blue one on its way down ;)

i really hope we won't see too much blockers moved to the next milestone... but i guess we will like with every release. anyway, there are also a bunch of meta bugs like "reduce filesize" that will be moved with every milestone and work just as a reminder.

sensemann, thanks for doing this, it's pretty sweet to have a visual guide to blocker progress.
