A friend sent me two files that he exported from Thunderbird:
wmail.msf
wmail
I have installed Thunderbird, but cannot figure out how to import these e-mails?
Thank you for help.

Re: how to import .msf file and mail ?
Save the files to a location on your hard drive.
CLOSE Thunderbird
Then COPY the wmail file and PASTE it into the Mail Folder that is located in your Thunderbird profile.
You really don't need the wmail.msf as it will be built when you re-start Thunderbird in a few minutes.
Finding your Profile is shown in this article from the knowledge base. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Thunderbird
After the COPY and PASTE operation is complete, RESTART Thunderbird.
You should now see a new Folder labeled wmail in the area that the Inbox is shown in. Click on it, and if the file was saved off correctly by your friend, you should see the mails in the listing.
If not, come back here, there are other things to try.

Or import the wmail file with the ImportExportTools extension.
Extension and Theme Install Instructions for Thunderbird Users:
(1) Right-Click the link for the extension or theme download and choose "Save Link As..." to download and save the file to your hard disk.
(2) In Thunderbird, open the extension or theme manager (Tools Menu/Extensions or Themes in 1.5.0.x and earlier, Tools>Addons in 2.0)
(3) Click the Install button, and locate and select the file you downloaded and click "OK"
(4) Close and reopen Thunderbird to finish the install

wnunnally seemed to me to be a new TB user Daif. That's why I didn't recommend the ImportExport tool. I even hesitated to recommend saving and doing the copy and paste.
But your instructions are very clear, and he/she should be able to get it installed, but I'm betting the user will be back to ask how to use the extension once installed.
