great release!

Great release with several big improvements! congrats jed.

I noticed that the WMC submenu is displayed always in the context menu. If there's no selection, no items are displayed under it. If there's a selection, whatever it is it will show the webmail services and will open the compose window with the selected text (whatever it is) as the To: field. Would be great if the WMC menu only appeared for mailto: links.

Anyway, it's a great extension.
greetings,

Percy

Hey,
I installed your new Webmail Compose, works great! Thanks for adding in Mail.com for me... :D New icon looks good too. The title of Preferences still says YMail Compose though  And the context menu for WebMail Compose shouldn't appear if you click in the middle of nowhere... lol. But anyway, it's a great extension! Thanks!

PS: Hope you have a good vacation :P

Sounds like a great up and coming extension. In addition to Yahoo Mail, I also use Excite Mail. Once I see that one in there, I'll download and give it a try.

Okay, I finally got it working. The first time I installed it the Extension Manager would freeze when I clicked the Options button for the extension, but a re-install got it working.

What I don't get now though is the context menu. The regular left click works as does the middle click, but can't get the context menu to come up.

The tabbrowser preferences extensions messes with the left-click function of webmailcompose. (makes it like you are middle-clicking instead)

Can anyone confirm?

Oh yes, this it the Holy Grail of extensions I've been looking for since I've gotten Firebird/Firefox!

Like pcabellor said, all that it needs is to only appear when right-clicking on mailto: links and not all the time. :D

Love it!

Lycos Mail Integration

Post by mitch_79 »

Great extension, really useful. But does anyone have any tips on how to make it work with lycos mail? I've tried using the other choice but it doesnt seem to work :-( Any chance of integrating it...

Thanks,

Mitch

I don't have a Lycos account, but it should be easy.
ust look athe the info that is sent when you reply to a message (Fake example: http://lycosserver.net/compose?to=dued@ ... t=Re:Hello)

Then add it to the "Other" selection. If you need help, post the info above and maybe someone can help you out.

On another note, I just release version 0.4.
All it does is adds support for Netscape/Opera/Squirrel and Horde webmail services.
Also fixes the bug where the Webmailcompose context menu item is always shown.

Thanks everyone for the feedback!

Any chance you can take over the Read Mail and New Message menu items under Tools?
