Re: [FX/TB] MacOSX Builders Unite!
Man, I'm late to the game here, but what happened was that my Intel mac had a bit of a breakdown, and then when I got it back up I mucked up the build system and it stopped building for a bit. Everything should be back in order now.
Site note, man you really dug up a zombie thread! Oh my young idealism, builder community and whatnot.
If you want to get to me somewhat faster (I'm still often several days behind) you'll want to post in my main thread:

Re: [FX/TB] MacOSX Builders Unite!
Just a quick bit of feedback on your builds site
the official releases are a bit hard to pick out
(when i looked on the 20th i didn't notice it on first glance... )
if you could do a separate feed with just the official (non-nightly) releases that would be cool
or maybe just add a bit of extra text to the name so it stands out from the nightlies
anyways
thanks again again
chris
ps: 3.0 has been running great for me so far!

Re: [FX/TB] MacOSX Builders Unite!
Is this intel optimised compile using the final release 3.X build?
http://firefoxmac.furbism.com/builds/in ... el-3.0.dmg
I'm guessing it is....
By the way, awesome resource: http://firefoxmac.furbism.com
You guys are legends! Is there some way to donate?
Any idea how to remove all instances of "Minefield" in the app's GUI?
It is after all the RTM build!
Cheers,
-jed.

I can't seem to find any 3.0.6 Intel optimized builds? Are there any out there?

Re: [FX/TB] MacOSX Builders Unite!
fluid, from my experience (you can see how long i've been on this from this thread's history) elfurbe does not do the minor updates right away, if at all.
if you're looking for up-to-date builds try the nightlies (i've been using the nightlies from mozilla recently and they've been pretty good)

I was wondering if the Firefox Intel optimised builds have started using #include <dispatch/dispatch.h> to invoke Grand Central Dispatch?

No, not yet.
I'm busy sorting out code to compile with llvm-gcc and per-file HFS+ compression for binaries. This will be strictly Snow Leopard only.

Unfortunatly my dev machine has gone to Apple for repair, again.

Re: [FX/TB] MacOSX Builders Unite!
I have created a compressed version, here are the compression stats.
/Applications/Firefox.app:
Number of HFS+ compressed files: 372
Total number of files: 404
Total number of folders: 68
Total number of items (number of files + number of folders): 472
Folder size (uncompressed; reported size by Mac OS 10.6+ Finder): 51360173
bytes / 52.4 MB (megabytes) / 50 MiB (mebibytes)
Folder size (compressed - decmpfs xattr; reported size by Mac OS 10.0-10.5
Finder): 21597811 bytes / 21.9 MB (megabytes) / 20.9 MiB (mebibytes)
Folder size (compressed): 21851141 bytes / 22.2 MB (megabytes) / 21.1 MiB
(mebibytes)
Compression savings: 57.5%
Appoximate total folder size (files + file overhead + folder overhead):
22541904 bytes / 22.5 MB (megabytes) / 21.5 MiB (mebibytes)

Re: [FX/TB] MacOSX Builders Unite!
HFS compressed version.
It's in a pkg format to retain compression. This build will only work with Snow Leopard.
http://audioguy.co.uk/mozilla/moz-centr ... eopard.pkg
I have a few bugs with the package installer. A change of owner may be required after install of Minefield.app. Needs to be included as a post install script.
sudo chown $User /Applications/Minefield.app

I just downloaded El Furbe's new FX7450-3.5.3 build of 9/17, but when I try to run it, it fails to load and produces the following error report (the 3.5.2 build of 8/1 worked fine for me) --
