Has anyone else been seeing more frequent crashes when exiting/closing Minefield? I have had a few in recent days after not having many for months.

Not noticed any shutdown crashes here. Are you still using HTML5 = enabled ? I'm not testing it anymore till some fixes get landed, it got too crashy for me.

No crashes here.

But I've been getting the minimized window that won't restore more frequently. All I can do with it is maximize it, close Firefox, and then it *might* restore, but to an extremely small size that I then need to rework to my normal browser window size. Happens in safe mode, too.

Only happens to me in WinXP and Vista. Hasn't happened in OS X or Linux. Yet.

I get it on WinXP alot too (work machine).. and I see it after installing builds.. haven't filed a bug yet.. because I wasn't sure if I was seeing session-restore (save and quit) behavior in there too.
Cannot tell the window is off the screen either, but there is already a bug for that.

Its like it crashes the window (or off screen) then on the next run, it opens up a little window from (0,0) like I'm using a mobile browser (but Im using WinXP) ..

and since WinCE and WinMO and Win32 have similar roots, believe having changed one, changed the other which needs to be fixed/forked.

I used to have a second monitor attached, but now i don't and my desktop is not extended either, but display properties thinks #2 is still there even though its not.

It does seem to happen more after doing an update. Although I think I've had it happen during just a regular shutdown and restart sequence. I'll try and remember to see if I can factor that out.

I think that's the bug I'm seeing, though I think it's also happened to me when I close Firefox with the window open on the screen but not maximized (I rarely maximize my browser window).

If you right click the task button for the offscreen window, the cursor switches to the move cursor and jumps to the upper left corner of the screen. Unfortunately, you can't move the window back into the view that way.

Perhaps it's me, but has anyone noticed that when attempting to click on Bookmarks, selecting a folder and then a sub-folder and then a bookmark (or even just navigate through Bookmarks) while a page or several pages are loading that this process has become sluggish? Yes, I know the obvious, that I'm doing so while a page or pages are loading.

This has become more pronounced over the last three to four months, with the whole Bookmarks menu and sub-folders displaying in a jerky fashion. It was never like this for me until the last three or four months and seems to be much worse now. It's almost like page loading and navigating the Bookmarks menu are on the same thread and are resource constrained.

Nothing has changed on my end aside from the build of Minefield I'm using and I'll add that I've got a pretty decent PC.

They actually been making a lot of changes to the Places UI, scrolling and sqlite db which needs to be vacuumed once a month, dropping overhead left and right.. I think its faster. Are you having other UI response problems? Try exporting your bookmarks.html file and creating a new profile with profilemanager (firefox.exe -profilemanager) then import the bookmarks file again. Do you have a lot of bookmarks?

I do have lots of bookmarks but that's very subjective. My places.sqlite is only 636kb and I vacuum regularly. :-)

636KB eh? My places.sqlite is 93MB. :) 750 bookmarks or so. 180 days of history. Etc.
