Hi, if that ^^ is true, then why when I disable bug489729 (Disable detach and tear off tab) 1.3 -- https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/12276 -- does the same behaviour return in my Firefox 3.6.3 installation? Cheers. LAPTOP: XPS17 Intel i7-2630QM, 8GB RAM, GeForce GT 555M, Windows 7 64bit
That bug was fixed. but it may be still sensitive for mouse movement. Thanks. Yes, it does still seem too sensitive for my own use... Is there any way to disable the function completely from about:config or someplace else?

There currently is incompatibility with Tabmix Plus:
Posted in the review section here, not sure if you receive notifications on that. despite the bug maybe being fixed, the drop url and tear off functions were most useful - there's a need for that extension for FF 4+
I am going to modify the extension for Firefox4.0.
However, it will no more support for Tab Mix Plus and any other Tab related extension. No need for support, just would be great if they wouldn't be in eachother's way
![]() Hey Alice, it really sucks that you can't get this working with Tab Mix Plus. I absolutely hate this detach tab nonsense. Probably the worst "feature" ever added to a browser.
Exactly what I need: to disable tab detaching / tearing. Almost every time I move to another tab, it tears off. It's so bad, I'd rather have this fix and need to disable Tab Mix Plus than to keep having the tabs tear off nearly every time. Desperate for this fix.
![]() It seems that in Firefox version 17 this addon also makes impossible to rearrange tabs moving them about the tabstrip.
I've tried with two different profiles and the problem did not occur with previous versions of Firefox. Can you confirm? I would be very sorry to lose this addon since fixes a very annoying "feature". Thanks for your attention. That would be quite annoying, I create url files by dragging tabs to explorer on a daily basis.
Not sure why this wasn't turned into a simple about:config edit in the first place tbh, considering FF had this natively for years.
Confirmed.
