Get All messages Broken with Global Inbox??

Post by XeF6 »

Is it just me or is Global Inbox broken with get all messages as it seems that you cant get more than 1 account at the same time if both need to access the Global Inbox in 0.8?
If i try to get 2+ accounts at the same time the first one to access the GI locks out the subsequent accounst with a "folder being processed" error?

Thats a pity then as it means the global inbox is as much use as a chocolate teapot.

Yeah, this is still in there. I'm disappointed that it wasn't fixed for 0.8, as it's highly visible.

global inbox being processed

Post by kismeras »

i think i'm getting the same error as you guys. I was so looking forward to a global inbox. How would we know when this issue gets fixed? I think i'll go back through all of the accts and remove global inbox till it is fixed.

Same error too ! Makes it useless, sadly... hope this will be corrected in a next build.

hmm. global inbox works fine for me.
if you still want this feature, try to add a message filter for each account: "sender contains '@'" -> "move message to local folders/inbox". this shoud do the trick unless the bug is fixed.

tb v0.8 mail not visible

Post by ampers »

All new mail, in bold, is not visible in my in folder and my junk folder, but when filtered to some of the other folders, I can access it.

This is very urgent as, if I don't get this fixed this morning I will have to go back to Pegasus. :-(

Yiour diagnosis is correct it seems, its a file locking issue after the first account to respond with mail grabs the global inbox.

Another issue is that the offline ext seems broken 2 in that if i use that to collect mail it doesnt seem to remember all accounts. Seems any account that has been redirected to the global inbox is no longer available for offline use.

Is there a bug open on this? I did a quick search and didn't find one. . .

I'm not sure if anyone else has this problem, I turned on global inbox and
discovered that some of the spam that was set up to be sent to Trash of
Local Folders simply disappeared. I turned g.i. off and the problem persists.
Actually I'm not even sure if they are spam, I saw the mails being downloaded
and then disappeared.

I'm using the TB 0.8 on WinXP SP1.

This "folder being processed" bug is now marked as fixed/resolved. For any of you global inbox users, does the fix seem to have fixed the problem (when simultaneously checking multiple accounts)? Just curious.
