Google Sites Give "Secure Connection Failed" Error. :(

Post by cursedbracelet »

When loading sites such as g-mail or google calendar, I often get a page with this message:

"Secure Connection Failed

An error occurred during a connection to http://www.google.com.

Peer received a valid certificate, but access was denied.

(Error code: ssl_error_access_denied_alert)

* The page you are trying to view can not be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.

* Please contact the web site owners to inform them of this problem. Alternatively, use the command found in the help menu to report this broken site."

Pressing "try again" usually loads the page. This GREATLY slows my work and is very frurstating. I never had this issue until I got 3.5 of Firefox.

Making matters worse, after upgrading to Thunderbird 3, I now get the same error on my RSS feeds that are Google Blogspot pages. I have googled this throughout the Internet and found no solutions. Some places say to make sure my system clock is correct, but the clock in my taskbar is correct. I don't know what else to do... :\
