where are the firefox icons stored?

hi i'd like to access them and edit them myself but i can't find them.....

Firefox program icons are stored in your Firefox program directory. Firefox extension icons are stored in your Firefox profile. Most of these icons are stored within various .jar files that can be opened with a file compression utility like WinRAR.

And I think you will need a program capable of editing .ico files.
