The Firefox Folding@Home Team

Post by praseodymium »

Ten days ago I've started a Firefox <a href="http://folding.stanford.edu/">Folding@Home</a> Team. In these ten days, we rose to <a href="http://vspx27.stanford.edu/cgi-bin/main.py?qtype=teampage&teamnum=39299">number 1610 (out of 33601)</a> and are still going up.

However, all help is welcome! So, if you aren't in some other team or want to change teams, get the <a href="http://folding.stanford.edu/">Folding@Home Client</a> and join <a href="http://vspx27.stanford.edu/cgi-bin/main.py?qtype=teampage&teamnum=39299">Team Firefox (number 39299)</a>.

The official annoucement is on <a href="http://www.spreadfirefox.com/?q=node/view/2183">http://www.spreadfirefox.com/?q=node/view/2183</a>.

Excellent idea! I have just joined with two computers, more to come.
Maybe we can make this sticky here at least for some time?

Cool idea!
BTW there's also a gmail invite giveaway for people that join the team; see <a href="http://www.spreadfirefox.com/?q=node/view/2622">my spreadfirefox.com blog post about it</a>.

I would gladly fold for this team... except that I've been folding for Rage3D for a couple years...

If you're not using Firefox, you're not surfing the web, you're suffering it.

Hmm, did not know the Mozilla team. It sounds as the most obvious and natural choice for all to unite forces and by getting up high in the rank, maybe increase the visibility of all Mozilla projects, including TB, the suite, camino and others. I would have loved to see a big team there - not that we can ever get close to google team of course :)

Join Team Firefox (39299)!

Team Firefox (39299) has the most members. We are currently in the top 150 and rising. At our current rate it won't be too much longer until we crack the top 100, so join up!

Since I switched to Linux, I haven't received credits for my workunits. I have run /opt/foldingathome/initconfig and made sure the user name and team number are correct. I've tried both versions of Folding@Home on Linux, 5.02 and 4.0, i.e.:

emerge foldingathome
and
ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~x86" emerge foldingathome

I'm giving this one last chance then I'm out of here. ](*,)
