cheeaun, Excellent updated icons @ http://iconpacks.mozdev.org/phoenix/

Love the new image icon - but what does "...though it might be useless" mean? Also really like the fact that you can download them all in a library. IMHO, these should be the default Phoenix icons!

I needed to convert to .xpm, ( screenshots on http://themes.mozdev.org/phoenix are mostly done under Linux )

[OT] like b2 btw [/OT]

Oh, I finally figured out.
Turns out Phoenix is built without a $phoenixdir/chrome/icons directory. When I add this directory, with a default/ subdirectory that contains main-window.xpm and main-window16.xpm, Phoenix gets an icon in the taskbar (and on the titlebar for WM themes that display app icons).
I wonder why Phoenix builds without an icons directory?

[OT] heh :) [/OT]

A little late but ...

The avatar is my Phoenix desktop icon. I designed it yesterday, in the middle of a boring AI lecture. I liked it so i applied the usual pipeline (scan->gimp->autotrace->sodipodi->gimp).

I have a vectorial version if you want to tinker with. Just send me an email.

Not if they change to Firebird. :)

Anyway, I find cheeaun's icon the most stylish. Nice work there ;)

edit: Hmm, just noticed Rawsock's avatar. Look much better (read: "evil" :)) than the built-in one for sure.

I like Rawsock's too, but at 16x16 in my quick launch I imagine it'd be indistinguishable from the Moz icon... in orange / yellow it'd be killer though.

My fave is still Grayrest's though.

I got some web space to post all files :

The orange/yellow version seems fine, but too "eye burning" for me. Maybe i'll make them darker . Any idea ?

These are so awesome!! I think they are both great, but if you think the one is blinding, try putting a black outline somewhere inside it to give some contrast.

Anyway, with these Icons I hope they change the name to Firebird :)

Pheonix Icon from kde-look.org

Post by Parsons »

Someone earlier pointed to an icon I had made for phoenix. They gave you the preview file (which is downloadable), but if you are using unix/linux than you may want my to download my tarball since I have scaled it to various sizes. the following will give you access to either the tar file or the icon preview.

http://kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=3980

If you want, you can vote on whether or not you like it right on the site where I posted it.

Thanks
Sean Parsons

The icons posted in my website are 128x113 png's. Just a little GIMPing an you should get the right height.

Otherwise, download the .svg version and use a program like sodipodi or Corel Draw to render it.

Ow :( , looks that i gave birth to a dead icon. The new name won't be related to flaming birds.
