Help: Cross-Compiling Firefox for ARM

Post by c.morini »

Hi,

i try sime times to cross-compile firefox for ARM processor, on a embedded linux, but always it returns some errors when i configure or compile it.
I try with the version 1.5, 2.0 and 3.5 but the results is always the same.

Have you some suggestions/tutorial to do it? which version of Firefox can i use? i think to use the last version 3.5, but i be afraid because it don't works on a embedded and lite Linux Operatin System.

Thanks

We compile nightly builds for ARM on the 1.9.2 (Firefox 3.6) and mozilla-central branches. 1.9.1 should work, but might have bugs. Our official builds for Maemo use the Maemo Scratchbox toolchain: http://repository.maemo.org/stable/4.1.1/INSTALL.txt

You can find our build docs here: https://wiki.mozilla.org/Mobile/Build/Fennec
