[FX] PowerBook: 2005-07-16 [Trunk/OS X] (G4, O3, Altivec)

Post by krmathis »

Here you find Firefox Community Edition builds with optimization for PowerPC 7450.
These builds are compiled on Mac OS 10.4.2, using GCC 4.0.0 and the following .mozconfig.

NB! These builds may have bugs to varying degrees of severity.
If you find a possible bug and want to contribute, download the latest official nightly build and check if its reproducible. Then please search and post in the appropriate forum.

D i s c o n t i n u e d !
I no longer compile optimized Firefox builds... (Camino... ;) ).

But elfurbe took over where I ended and he share G3, G4 and G5 optimized builds. http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic ... start=1158

Take care!

Yes, I think your iBook use the same processor family as my PB G4 1.5GHz.
Its worth a try. Maybe you notice a speed increase? ;)

How about older G4 procs?

I've got a G4 550 upgrade ("Nitro" #7410) running in my old G3 Blue & White machine. Any idea how this would go over in my machine?

Great build! Running on PB G4 1GHz. Pages seem to load faster. No crashes or oddities yet. Keep the builds coming!

Any thought whether or not it'd be workable on a G3 900 mhz (PowerPC 750, a PowerLogix upgrade CPU, in a Powerbook "Pismo")?

thx dude ;p
really appreciated, since i use a mac

but could you put a date in the filename, it's better to identify, if you have not enough space, maybe you should ask to pryan, like bangbang, i don't know if he still offer space, but it could worth a try.

I will contact pryan, maybe he have still offer space. ;)
My webspace is limited to 10MB, so I can only share one build (latest) at a time...
