Put in links to bugs that you think should be release noted for 1.0!

Bug 259429 - Software Update does not request proxy authentication and fails
Might be a good idea to list this issue and its workaround in the release notes. (Asa already added "firefox release notes candidate" to the Status Whiteboard)
Mouse Gestures - control your browser the elegant way
MessageFaces - embed pictures in mail header

Bug 228968 - Downloading a large file ~3GB displays negative status values

This one is pretty front facing, shows up on Linux and Windows, and has gotten a lot of duplicates.

Maybe you should add something along the lines of "Why doesn't <x> page look right in Firefox?" to save on bug reports.

We forgot to relnote the BiDi UI in the PR release notes. https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=bidiui

This UI has been added for BiDi locales (Hebrew, Arabic, Persion, Urdo, Syaric), including four menu command ("Switch Text Direction" in edit and textarea's contextual menu ; "Switch Page Direction" in pages' contextual menu and the View menu) and Accel+Shift+X keyborad shortcut for "Switch Text Direction".

In addition, please relnote the Software Update feature status on OS X.

Shouldn't the release notes instruct Windows users to uninstall Firefox before upgrading until 247884 is fixed?

Not if they've installed it in the middle of C:\Program Files and uninstalling will trash the PC (Bug 233625 )

That's not too serious (although it is one of the most-duped bugs) - bug 266677 for people that it affects is a more significant issue with installing over the top without uninstalling first.

Also, a bunch of other bugs with the relnote keyword which would hopefully get considered without being nominated here, but just in case:
bug 180962 - insecure form submission warning pops up twice
bug 221963 - hang with older Acrobat versions
bug 255435 - installation fails for "limited account" and breaks existing install
bug 255547 - Release Notes provide incomplete information for profile location
bug 257233 - no UI for bringing back security warnings

and I'm not sure of the bug number, but do the issues with previous Java versions need to go in to the notes?

Couple more:
bug 252371 - find in page does not find in text entry boxes (regression from PR1 and has collected quite a few dupes)
bug 171349 - missing icon in win98 (not too serious, but could tell people about the workaround, and it's also got a bunch of dupes)

If I have understood correctly, Ben asks for worthy of mention bugs that have already been FIXED.
