I've recently changed password for my hotmail account.
After I changed the password, Thunderbird always ask me for password when it log in to hotmail. Even if I select "Use Password Manager to remember this password" it doesn't. Next time Thunderbird log into my hotmail account (same session, doesn't restart Thunderbird) I get this error message:
And I get the "Enter password" dialog box, but now it actually remember the password - an password is correct and Thunderbird successfully downloads any mail.Sending of password did not succeed. Mail server pop3.live.com responded: authentication failed
When I close Thunderbird and start up again, the same thing happens. No change, it stil won't remember the password.
Before I changed the password to my hotmail account, Thunderbird always remembered the password.
I do not suspect malware is the cause of this.
Thunderbird version 2.0.0.24 (20100228)
OS = Windows XP sp3
