PacMan Music/Siren noise

Post by LoudNoise »

Google is being overly clever and is featuring a PacMan game on its home page today. If you are hearing the PacMan theme the solution seems to be disable CoolPreviews. If this does not work try disabling any Google related extension.

Another site suggested that Cooliris might also be a problem.

BTW, thanks to this guest viewtopic.php?p=9400901#p9400901 for posting the original suggestion.

Disabling Cool/Previews seems to work, will test later to see if the fix took.

Not a Firefox issue although it might be an extension issue. You cannot blame Mozilla for a problem that is created by something you added to the browser.

I have updated CoolPreviews to the newest version (3.1.0521) and the siren stopped. Seems to be an annoying reminder of upgrade.

This is one of those times when I wished Firefox had it's own independent volume control.

That version is ok, the novelty of it was that it was on their homepage and it was unexpected.
I like this flash pacman version better, it is like the real game.
It also has a high score listing. :P
