Hi all,

This add-on is really doing the job so far .. really happy with this add-on.

I do have a challenge which I am not able to solve at the moment.

I have a form with a couple of pulldown items which I would like to fill-in automatically with today's date ( separate month / day / year )
and also separate hour / minute -> all from today/at that specific time

Form can be found at : http://www.michelhendriks.com/form.html

can anyone show me how to add this to my profile ?

Thanks in advance !

I never did this, but the doc refers to such stuff as "dynamic tags".

Hi!
Can Autofill Forms fill out forms on page automatically? It means that this addon should fill out forms without pressing any hot key. Maybe it should work for one site or find the rules on the page and fill out them automatically )
where can i find this option in settings?

In my sole, single profile, my title is set to 'Mr.', however when filling in forms, Autofill Forms selects 'Mrs.' from the dropdown box. This has happened for as long as I can recall using the tool. Please advise.

I'd try to set title to 'Mr\.' Otherwise, no idea.

The preferences window of Autofill Forms does not display correctly in Firefox 3.5.9 for Mac OS X. All but the Simple tab are almost impossible to use because the window resizes incorrectly, very few of the fields are visible. Do you provide support for Mac OS X version of your plug-in? If so, please could you address this?
Thank you

If you look at page 43 of this thread you'll see there's no maintainer anymore, it seems (unless someone has taken over the project).

As it has been previously mentioned, there is an issue with the user interface when on OS X
I am running Firefox 3.63 with the latest version of 'Autofill Forms' on Mac OS 10.6.

The preferences don't extend far enough down to use all the fields.
Sometimes the window will extend farther than other times.

Please fix the issue as I am keen for this addon!!

Hello,

Casual user here, been reading around studying the functions of Autofill Forms trying to get this web form to autofill/select a particular Country selection ; its a drop down box menu.

Link to form: http://tinyurl.com/297t78u

Ive been reading the help guides and trying out various field rules and such, but havent gotten any effect from them so far for that particular field. Hopefully somebody can help me out with this. Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Oxied had the same problem as you (page 43) on a site really similar to yours (but the webpage he references has changed).

I'd try that: http://autofillforms.mozdev.org/drupal/ ... n-settings
Then restart your browser.
Then fill the form, "Add a complete form as profile".
When you go back to the form, autofill it. The box won't appear to be changed, but if you "show form details", you'll see the country field is correctly filled, so maybe that'll work when you submit. Just try it!

Edit: and please report back if it works!

In terms of automatically filling out a form from the browser, one can also write a quick script for filling out fields on a form. Here is one I wrote to check any new email on gmail.

I open first session ("g1") and connect it to gmail.com. Gmail forwards you to https://www.google.com. So I open a second secure session ("g2") and connect it there. g2 needs to verify the values of variables (continue, dsh and GALX). I get them from g1 and post them to g2 along with my login and password.

That does it for me. The script prints out any new emails (sender, and subject) that gmail shows in bold. It does not even open the browser, etc.

The key command is really,

Code: Select all

ispost "g2" "/accounts/ServiceLoginAuth?service=mail" ("Email="+$email) ("Passwd="+$password) $continue $dsh $GALX "ltmpl=default" "ltmplcache=2" "service=mail" "rm=false" "scc=1" "PersistentCookie=yes" "signIn=Sign in" "asts=" > $out

Here is the complete script.

Code: Select all

# Script CheckGmail.txt
var string email, password
var string out, continue, dsh, GALX, sender, signouturl, signoutserver

# Start session to gmail.com.
isstart "g1" "description" "Mozilla/4.0"
isconnect "g1" "http://www.gmail.com" > $out
stex -r -c -p "^name=\"continue&value=\"^[" $out > $continue
stex "[^\"^" $continue > null ; set $continue = "continue="+$continue
stex -r -c -p "^name=\"dsh&value=\"^[" $out > $dsh
stex "[^\"^" $dsh > null ; set $dsh = "dsh="+$dsh
stex -r -c -p "^name=\"GALX&value=\"^[" $out > $GALX
stex "[^\"^" $GALX > null ; set $GALX = "GALX="+$GALX

# Start session to https://www.google.com.
isstart "g2" "description" "Mozilla/4.0"
isconnect "g2" "https://www.google.com" > $out
script SS_ISCookies.txt from("g1") to("g2") > null

# Post to g2, login credentials and any collected variables from g1.
ispost "g2" "/accounts/ServiceLoginAuth?service=mail" ("Email="+$email) ("Passwd="+$password) $continue $dsh $GALX "ltmpl=default" "ltmplcache=2" "service=mail" "rm=false" "scc=1" "PersistentCookie=yes" "signIn=Sign in" "asts=" > $out

# Extract the signout url.
stex -c -p "]^Sign out^" $out > $signouturl
stex -c "^<a href=\"^l]" $signouturl > null ; stex "[^\"^" $signouturl > null
stex -c "^.com^]" $signouturl > $signoutserver

# Show to user all the new emails that are enclosed in <b> and </b>.
while ( { sen -r -c "^<input;type=checkbox;name=&<b\>&</b\>^" $out } > 0 )
do
    stex -r -c "^<input;type=checkbox;name=&<b\>&</b\>^" $out > $sender
    stex -c "^<b>^]" $sender > null ; stex -c "[^</b>^" $sender > null
    echo $sender
done

#Sign out, end connections, close sessions.
isstart "g3" "description" "Mozilla/4.0"
isconnect "g3" $signoutserver > null
isget "g3" $signouturl > null
isdiscon "g1" ; isdiscon "g2" ; isdiscon "g3"
isend "g1" ; isend "g2" ; isend "g3"

I have been using it for a while, and it seems to work fine. If you want to try it, save the script in file C:/Scripts/CheckGmail.txt. Call it from biterscripting like this.

Code: Select all

script "C:/Scripts/CheckGmail.txt" email("...@gmail.com") password("...")

That will show you new emails. Use correct email id and password instead of dot.dot.dot above. There is some good documentation at http://www.biterscripting.com/helppages ... ernet.html if you need to modify the script for other things.
