Mail disappeared immediately after popup-window!

Hi!

This is my first post in this forum, too bad it has to like this.

I've been using Thunderbird 3 for few months now, and I should
have the latest updates installed, no add-ons.

Problem:
I saw the popup-window and I had enought time to see the subject
to know, that email I was waiting, has arrived. But, that mail was
not found anywhere.

That made me wonder if it's junk, checked, but no, not there.
In Deleted-folder? No. But what I saw in Deleted-folder, was 2 mails
with date 14.8.2010, and today is 13.8.2010???
That is not possible, is it?

So, I lost AT LEAST one email, now I'm wondering if that has
happened before, and how many times!?!?!?!

What I was doing when that happened? Nothing, I just saw it happen
before my very eyes. I consider myself as extremely carefull user,
but that is only my word.

Any guesses are welcome!!! Thanks!

Additional information:

Mail databases have been compacted few days back,
inbox size is only 22MB.
Account types used is POP3.

All I did was that I press F5, and saw what I told.

I also tried "Repair folder" function, no help.

Yep, happened again, popup says something about message
which couldn't be found anymore.

What is the purpose of the error console, is it for developers,
or should the end user be aware of its information? It gives
me something every 30 secs, "Gloda is not defined" is the subject.

First two "WARNINGS" are:
-Selector expected. Ruleset ignored due to bad selector.
-Unexpected end of file while searching for closing } of invalid rule set.

Is there something I should be worried about. Thanks!
